When you create an account, purchase leads, or use BrokerStack, we may collect the following information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, and billing address.
• Payment Data: Credit card details processed and stored by our PCI-compliant payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Lead Data: Business names, owner names, phone numbers, email addresses, and financial information that you import or purchase through the Lead Marketplace.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically through server logs and analytics tools.
• Communication Data: Call recordings, SMS messages, and emails sent through the platform, stored to provide activity history and compliance records.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the BrokerStack platform and its features.
• Process transactions, deliver purchased leads, and manage your subscription.
• Send transactional communications such as billing receipts, security alerts, and account notifications.
• Analyze usage patterns to improve product performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your lead data to compete with you or share it with other BrokerStack customers.

3. Third-Party Sharing

We share data only with service providers that are essential to operating BrokerStack:

• Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management.
• Twilio — Voice calling, SMS delivery, and call recording.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Cloud infrastructure and data storage.
• Google Analytics — Anonymized website usage analytics.
• Postmark — Transactional email delivery.

Each provider is contractually bound to process data only on our behalf and in compliance with this policy. We do not share, rent, or sell your data for advertising purposes.

4. Cookies & Tracking

BrokerStack uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

• Essential Cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and security. Cannot be disabled.
• Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the platform. You can opt out via your browser settings or our cookie banner.
• Preference Cookies: Remember your settings such as timezone, default views, and notification preferences.

We do not use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels. You can manage cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:

• Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
• Lead data: Retained until you delete individual records or your account. Deleted data is purged from backups within 90 days.
• Call recordings: Retained for 12 months, then automatically deleted unless you have extended retention enabled.
• Billing records: Retained for 7 years as required by tax and financial regulations.

When you delete your account, we remove all personal and lead data from production systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Export your data in a machine-readable format (CSV).
• Restrict or object to certain processing activities.
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time.

7. CCPA & GDPR

California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. BrokerStack does not sell personal information. To submit a request, email privacy@broker-stack.com or call (888) 555-0199.

European Residents (GDPR): We process data under the legal bases of contract performance (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interest (improving our product), and consent (optional analytics).
